Rocket RWC Commentary

The Rockets have been putting together some tips for the All Blacks, and how they could use the Habits of Mind to succeed in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. We have had some fun with drama to role play what this would look like. This was adapted from a fabulous original script from "Habits - Centre Stage" by Sandra Brace.

Sorting Kiwiana

We have been using Tree Maps to help us when thinking about sorting things into groups. Can you tell what we based our decisions on for these groups? We found it interesting that some things could belong to more than one group. We had to think flexibly!

This was probably our favourite activity this week. Sorting the Allsorts! It also served as a real testament to the fact that we can manage our impulsivity when we really want to!

Mr O'D Day was full of crazy antics and a

ll his favourite games, including the best water fight ever!

He entertained us with an impromptu ribbon dance, and we gave him the book that we had made for him. This was filled with our (stunningly honest) descriptive reflections of him as our Principal.

We will miss him a lot.

We had a great time last week, when Mr O'D came in to teach us one of his favourite games. It's now our favourite game!
