Patterns Update - how to make a free slideshow
The Rockets have been learning to create a sequential pattern, and we are able to talk about what the rules are for the patterns that we have created. We have been very innovative with our designs, each having created something unique. Check them out!

MKK Early Settlers - slideshow dvd

This term, The Rockets have been learning about New Zealand. They are investigating the question “Who are we as New Zealanders?” On Tuesday of this week, we went to Hastings to learn about the early colonial settlers. This was an educational programme run by the Hawkes Bay Museum. A big thank you to Mrs O’Dowda and our fantastic parent helpers - we couldn’t have done it without you!

Welcome Wayne!

Autumn 2 - how to create a free slideshow

The Rockets welcomed our 21st member on Tuesday of this week. We are very excited to have Wayne join us.

What Habits of Mind are displayed by the two men in this clip? Remember, you need to give an example of how the Habits are displayed.

Marvin Baryshnikov

Marvin continues to enjoy his week night exeats from Room 2. We love sharing his adventures the next day. He was able to give Emer a few tips on using the Habits to become a successful ballerina, as it turns out he has a famous cousin. Who knew?

Human Patterns

The Brainiaks and the Rockets used the Habits of Mind this morning when creating patterns. We showed that we were able to Think Interdependently, by working together in our groups to create patterns with our bodies. Marvin and Honey Bear were watching, filled with Wonderment and Awe. They also found humour in some moments! Can you tell what the rules for our patterns are?
